Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) is an international standardised test of Chinese language proficiency.聽It assesses the ability of non-native speakers to communicate in life, study, and work. Learn more about these examinations.

HOW TO APPLY

CHINESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TESTS

The Confucius Institute at the 蘑菇视频在线观看 (CIUC) administers three internationally recognised Chinese language proficiency assessments: the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), HSKK (HSK Speaking Test), and YCT (Chinese Proficiency Test-Youth).

These examinations are developed and overseen by Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd. (CTI) in Beijing, and are conducted globally, including in New Zealand. For test guidelines, sample materials, and further information, please visit the official CTI website at . Exam preparation materials can also be purchased through the Confucius Institute鈥檚 online shop.

Candidates who achieve high scores on the HSK may be eligible to apply for scholarships offered by the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) to pursue further studies in China. 2025 CHINESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TESTS TIMETABLE (HSK/HSKK/YCT)

EXAM REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT PROCESS

STEP 1:聽Register with the Confucius Institute at the 蘑菇视频在线观看 via the following link: .
Ensure that "paper-based test" is selected as the test format and "Confucius Institute at 蘑菇视频在线观看" is chosen as the designated test centre.
Please note that all Chinese Proficiency Tests are conducted in-person on the 蘑菇视频在线观看 Ilam campus, and there are no online or electronic examination options available.

STEP 2:聽Complete the online payment through the portal.

As registration typically closes about a month before the exam date, please ensure both steps are completed before the registration deadline (see the table above) to secure your spot for the exam.

TEST ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

Candidates must download and print their admission ticket from the Chinese Test website () one week prior to the test date.
Both the printed ticket and the original ID used for registration are required for entry to the examination.

TEST RESULTS AND CERTIFICATES

Test results will be published approximately one month after the examination and can be accessed through the official website: .
Certificates will be available for collection from CIUC approximately two months after the test date.
